Meet The Doctors
Established as a Podiatry practice in 1993, the Ankle and Foot Centre of South Florida, P.A. became a Professional Association in 2004 and currently employs two Podiatric physicians, an office manager and one office assistant. Dr.'s Jeffrey and Dorothy Blank have a combined 56 years of patient contact with a combined 30 years of podiatry patient exposure.
Dr. Dorothy Blank completed her medical school training at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. She then spent two years at Lincoln West Hospital, Chicago, IL, in her podiatric medical and surgical training, which emphasized surgery, emergency medicine, trauma, and patient management.
Dr. Jeffrey Blank completed his medical school training at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1990. He completed his first residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. This emphasized podiatric and orthopedic medicine, surgery, emergency and trauma medicine, diabetic foot problems, and foot-related infections. He then completed a second, two-year residency at Edgewater Medical Center, Chicago, IL, where he specialized in advanced reconstructive and elective foot and ankle surgery, pediatric foot and ankle surgery, and arthroscopic and laser surgery.
Both doctors now specialize in all ankle and foot problems, from routine foot care to the highly complicated. We have special interests in exercise and sports medicine, physical therapy, wound care, and advanced and reconstructive ankle and foot surgery, including laser surgery, arthroscopy, and endoscopy. We also treat all children's foot problems, diabetic nerve and vascular conditions, and skin conditions. Also, both Dorothy and Jeffrey are Board Certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
